Finn Bowden

Audiovisual specialist

I've been making and listening to music since my childhood. The ability to work with and experience sound in its numerous forms has always been vital in my life and I was blessed to be part of a family with a deep passion for music and art.

My early forays into the industry consisted of performing in bands with friends and other musicians during my teenage years in my native South London where I played a number of instruments such as the guitar, drums, bass and piano. I then relocated to Brighton on on a whim after securing a place at the University of Brighton where I studied Creative Music Production and attained a First Class Honours BA in 2016. I then delved back into education in 2019 and undertook a year-long Master's degree in Music & Sonic Media at the University of Sussex.

After moving back to London in 2020, I worked as a Performance Technician at a secondary school in Camden, North London. In this role I assisted the Music, Art and Drama departments with all their technical needs which involved: teaching music production lessons, running studio sessions, setting up lighting and sound for live concerts and performances, maintaining and repairing instruments and equipment and building large exhibitions to showcase students' work.

I relocated to Barcelona in August 2022 in order to experience a new language and culture, whilst continuing my work as an Audiovisual Specialist and educator. I am still living here and working as a music producer, sound designer and DJ and I am always looking for a variety of diverse projects to work and collaborate with others to realise their creative visions.

Dj

During my time living in Brighton and studying Music Production, I began to play my favourite records on 1BTN FM, a local radio station setup by one of my classmates. Through this I began to learn the skills of DJing and mixing various genres of music and this opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me as a music obsessive and creator.

Along with broadcasting and recording shows on the radio, I also began to perform in venues in Brighton and London where I continued to develop my skills in reading a crowd, expanding my music collection and curating the ideal soundtrack for each event and venue.

I have now been working as DJ for over a decade and in this time have been privileged to play in numerous venues in various countries. I have been performing under the moniker of DJ Scenario for the last two years and there are links to my SoundCloud and Mixcloud on this site and at the bottom of this webpage.

Feel free to tune into my monthly radio show on RBL (Radio Banda Large) called Transmit City or check out previous shows here.
